New Tree Ordinance Passed
At their meeting on Friday, January 9, 2026, the Board of Commissioners formally adopted a new tree ordinance that regulates the removal of canopy trees on public and private property.
The ordinance went into effect immediately upon its adoption, simultaneously lifting the moratorium on tree removal that was enacted in April 2025.
