Notice of Cancellation – 2026 Election

Notice is hereby given that the candidate filing period for the Town of Henlopen Acres’ 2026 Municipal Election closed on July 10, 2026.

Three qualified candidates filed for the three (3) Commissioner positions to be filled at the 2026 Municipal Election scheduled for August 29, 2026:

LYNDA HERTRICH

TIMOTHY HIDELL

JOHN STAFFIER

Because the number of qualified candidates does not exceed the number of offices to be filled, the Municipal Election scheduled for August 29, 2026 is hereby canceled.

Pursuant to § C-10 of the Charter of the Town of Henlopen Acres and applicable provisions of Delaware law, the above-named candidates are declared elected to serve as Commissioners of the Town of Henlopen Acres.

The Town of Henlopen Acres will swear in the three candidates at the Board of Commissioners Organizational Meeting to be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 9am.
