Elections
Elections are held the last Saturday of the month of August.
A qualified voter is one who is 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the United States of America, and a bona fide resident or property owner in the Town of Henlopen Acres. Persons qualified to vote in any election in the Town, including any entities permitted to vote, shall be registered 30 days prior to election day. (A voter registration form is available on the “Forms” page of this website.)
Those persons interested in serving on the Board of Commissioners, must file a letter of intent for candidacy with Town Hall by the second Friday in July.
The Board of Commissioners hold regular quarterly meetings, on the second Friday in January, April, July and October. Special meetings are held as needed. The meeting agenda is posted at the Town Hall seven days prior to the meeting. These meetings are open to the public.
